Designer and President of A. Putnam Mallets
Amy Putnam, Master of Music ’96, The Juilliard School, founded A. PUTNAM MALLETS in 1988 to meet a growing request for fine hand-made orchestral mallets and to cultivate her love of beautiful craft and sound. Since that time, Ms. Putnam has given demonstrations and master classes in mallet making at The Juilliard School, the Manhattan School of Music, The Percussive Arts Society International Convention, The Luxembourg Conservatory of Music, The University of British Columbia, and The New York Day of Percussion. APM mallets can be heard in every leading US orchestra, including The New York Philharmonic, The MET, The Cleveland Orchestra, The Chicago Symphony, The St. Louis Symphony, and The Dallas Symphony.
Percussionists from around the world call Amy for mallets.
